Job Description
As a Route Delivery Professional, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as transporting students and school district authorized passengers on field trips, activities, and special outings.
Key Responsibilities
- Check with the dispatcher for any changes in normal duties or student passenger changes before starting each route.
- Perform DOT required pre-trip inspection and complete a radio check before departing.
- Ensure that all students safely board the bus and are seated before proceeding to the next stop.
- Enforce rules for proper discipline during ride. Report any incidents to the Site Manager and communicate with school authorities as needed.
- Transport students and school district authorized passengers to field trips, sporting events, and other activities.
- Properly maintain the bus by keeping fuel levels above half a tank or filled up after the completion of a trip.
Work Environment
- Will work primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
