Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Student Transportation Coordinator. This role is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as transporting students and school district authorized passengers on field trips, activities, and special outings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip inspections and complete radio checks before starting each route.
- Pick-up students at assigned stops, ensuring children safely board the bus and are seated before proceeding to the next stop.
- Enforce rules for proper discipline during ride and report any incidents to the Site Manager.
- Safely operate the bus by following all traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations.
- Transport students and school district authorized passengers to field trips, sporting events, and other activities.
Requirements:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License with passenger, school bus, and air brake endorsements.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to adhere to safety practices and prepare accurate records.
