Job Purpose
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to transport students to and from school, as well as for field trips and other activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures, as well as the ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships with students and school staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure the van is in good working condition
- Pick up students at assigned stops and ensure they are safely seated before proceeding to the next stop
- Enforce safety rules and report any incidents or serious issues to the Site Manager
- Safely operate the van in accordance with traffic laws and regulations
- Transport students and school staff to field trips, sporting events, and other activities
- Report accidents and complete incident reports as necessary
- Maintain the van's cleanliness and report any maintenance needs to the office staff
Requirements
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships with students and school staff
- Reliability and punctuality
