We are seeking a Transportation Administrator to join our team. The Transportation Administrator will be the primary contact in the warehouse for inbound freight and specialized outbound freight. The role will contribute to the company by helping optimize warehouse operations, primarily by being responsible for managing communications between the warehouse staff and other departments

Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the weekly meetings with supervisors and managers to mediate and enrich discussions. A report of primary issues encountered each week should be shared and an initial assessment should be given for solutions
- Keep the receiving schedule up to date and communicate with the floor workers about new trucks coming in. Additionally, keep track of unscheduled trucks coming in week to week and reach out to the vendors to get them on the receiving schedule.
- Review daily summaries and communicate with customer service and sales any areas of improvement for service times and unloading procedures
- Act as a liaison between the different functions of the business such as purchasing, sales, HR, and executives
- Receive email and phone calls from vendors regarding incoming freight – record appointment in receiving calendars
- Maintain balanced receiving workload for each branch
- Other duties as necessary

Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
- 2 plus years of experience in related field
- Proficient in the use of Qualcomm, Outlook, Google Maps, Shoretel, and Eclipse or other ERP: preferred
