This position will report directly to the CFO and work closely with other accounting personnel and company management. Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, and vision insurance along with retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Collaborate with external benefit providers and insurance brokers to manage benefit plans and resolve employee inquiries
- Communicate benefits information to employees through various channels, including presentations, emails, and one-on-one consultations
- Provide education and guidance to employees on available benefits, helping them make informed decisions based on their needs and preferences
- Assist in organizing and conducting benefits-related workshops, webinars, and informational sessions
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit-related inquiries and concerns
- Assist employees in resolving issues related to benefit claims, coverage, and understanding benefits documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including HIPAA, ERISA, and other applicable laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with Captive or Self-insured Insurance Plans
- Proven experience in benefits administration or a similar role, preferably within a corporate setting
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a diverse audience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Customer-focused mindset and a dedication to providing exceptional service to employees
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certifications related to benefits administration (e.g., CEBS, PHR, or SPHR) are a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft word and excel
