Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assists the commercial delivery driver with loading and unloading items, contacting customers, collecting payments, keeping in touch with the Transportation office.
- Delivers of products using a handcart, ramp, and any other piece of equipment used in prompt, safe way that maintains the integrity of the product.
- Prepares and completes of the appropriate paperwork including but not exclusive of the reconciliation report, driver log (when applicable), pre-trip mileage sheet, product and return sheet.
- Learns and understands the appropriate invoicing and product return paperwork to accurately account for all products being delivered or returned.
- Records of mileage and delivery time daily.
- Maintains daily cleanliness of vehicle driven.
- Attends all Transportation departmental meetings that have been stated as mandatory.
- Presents a professional image to internal/external customers and vendors with appropriate dress according to the work situation while maintaining good grooming and hygiene.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Must have the ability to lift product weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Required to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle.
- Must be able to walk, bend, lift, and operate a handcart up and/or downstairs.
- Previous food service experience a plus
Salary:
- $17.00- $19.00/ Hour
Shift:
- Monday - Friday, Start Time is between 4am - 6am
- 10 - 12hr shifts
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit
- Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods with temperatures reaching -10
- Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors
- Possess fluent speech in English, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions
