Roles and Responsibilities :

Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the company's operations.
Recommends and implements procedures, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
Assess and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators.
Create, communicate, and execute operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures.
Lead a department of seven Managers in Transportation, Warehouse, Storage, Production (2), Facilities / Maintenance, and Quality. Responsible for a total of 180 employees.
Oversees inbound / outbound transportation, warehousing, inventory, production operations and facilities.
Ensures that the organization works as efficiently as possible, and the product / service exceeds customer expectations.
Manages a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
Maintains successful working relationships with vendors by ensuring strong communication, timely invoicing, documentation, and reporting.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided.
Implement strict budget controls and financial disciplines.
Assist in planning and managing future business ventures.
Strategically manage operations staff to remain in compliance with company’s policies and vision, and create a well-balanced, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred, HS Diploma or equivalent Required.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in best-in-class food or high-volume distribution sectors. Other appropriate experience may be acceptable.
Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience.
Strong knowledge and proven track record of implementing best in class Transportation, Warehouse, and Manufacturing Key Performance Indicators.
Hands-on experience with office and warehouse management software and databases.
Strong knowledge and experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.

Must be able to stand, walk, twist, stoop, bend, kneel, sit, and squat.
Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds using correct lifting techniques.
Must be able to work in a cold environment (freezer, cooler, and dry storage).
