What you will do:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month and end-year processes, general ledger, revenue and expense analysis, and other activities
- Set up and/or oversee all audit and internal controls and metrics within the organization and ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
- Coordinate with external service providers for outsourced tax preparation tasks
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for tax planning and optimization
- Prepare and submit required documentation to tax authorities
- Research emerging tax law changes and inform management about their potential impact
- Serve as the go-to resource for all tax-related inquiries within the organization
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tax firms, insurance providers, and other external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal tax regulations
- Oversee corporate tax registrations and filings across various jurisdictions
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to tax provisioning, payments, and reporting
- Prepare necessary documentation for external audits and government filings
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required
- 5-7 years of related experience preferred
- CMA or CPA is highly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and best practices
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles
- Ability to analyze complex tax issues and propose actionable solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
