Job Description

The Iowa Society of CPAs (ISCPA) has engaged Palmer Group to help them identify their next Chief Executive Officer . The ISCPA is dedicated to being Iowa's premier organization for the accounting profession. They harness the collective power of our members to promote, protect, grow, and enhance the industry through advocacy and service. Their mission is to deliver value to our members and ensure the future viability of the Society.

The CEO is responsible for the Society's leadership, management activities, and strategic initiatives in response to the diverse and changing needs of the members and the CPA profession. The CEO collaborates with the board of directors to determine the Society's strategic direction, policies, goals, and organizational design. The CEO creates a service-minded and responsive organization focused on delivering value to the members and ensures the future viability of the Society as a whole.

What you will do :

• Lead and manage the Society's activities and strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with the board of directors to determine strategic direction, policies, goals, and organizational design
• Create a service-minded and responsive organization focused on delivering value to the members
• Ensure the future viability of the Society
• Supervise, lead, and advise the Society's management team
• Act as a key strategist for the ISCPA Chair and board of directors to develop and implement immediate and long-range strategies

What you will need to be successful :

• Proven leadership and management experience
• Experience in the CPA profession or related field is preferred
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as a team contributor and independently
