What you will do:
- Design gating, riser, and chilling systems for aerospace castings to meet specifications
- Collaborate with CAD technicians, tooling vendors, and manufacturing teams to optimize tool designs
- Develop and review samples and trial castings through all manufacturing stages
- Interpret inspection results, address nonconformities, and implement corrective actions
- Investigate and resolve production and quality issues
- Create and maintain work instructions for casting processes
- Lead new casting program development, including tooling and process approvals
- Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects
- Travel to customer and vendor facilities as needed
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a technical degree and experience equivalent to a degree will be considered
- 15 years of Foundry Engineering Experience with experience in gating/risering of Non-Ferrous alloys, tooling design, and process development
- No bake sand casting experience and an understanding of aerospace specifications, requirements, and quality systems preferred
- Magnesium casting experience preferred
Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
