What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant position at Palmer Healthcare Center?
Do you like working with the elderly providing stimulating and sensory activities? Palmer Healthcare Center is small, family owned, 61 bed skilled nursing facility, focused on memory care and dementia, looking for a creative and patient activity assistant with dementia/memory care or health care experience. In this position you will be responsible for providing stimulating and sensory activities to our Residents. You will follow our planned monthly calendar encouraging and supporting our Residents to participate while providing a safe environment that is appropriate for Residents with memory care/dementia diagnosis. In this position you also will be monitoring the hallways to ensure the safety of our residents.
Schedule: Must be available between the hours of 8am - 8pm and rotating weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
