Position
Caregivers care for children in a residential setting and use a professional, team-oriented, trauma-informed approach to provide a safe, healing, homelike environment. Palmer Home is currently seeking caregivers to provide compassion and daily supervision. Caregivers manage homes of six to eight children and support our Whole Child Initiative nurturing each child educationally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The ideal couple should be mature, responsible, ministry minded and mission driven.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and support to children in a group home.
- Assist children with activities of daily living.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in living spaces to ensure a safe environment.
- Work with case managers and campus care team to support development of children.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in caregiving
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Experience in home and community care settings
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Background in long-term care or social work is a plus
- Ability to observe and report needs of children to administration
