Job Summary
The Palmer Museum of History and Art is a complex organization that manages a Visitors' Information Center and Museum. The Executive Director is a pivotal leader responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the organization. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure PMHA meets its goals and obligations, while enhancing its public image and engaging with community.
Duties
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Lead and manage staff to ensure effective operations across all departments.
- Demonstrate responsible fiscal oversight and budget management.
- Oversee project management to ensure timely delivery of programs and services.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders, funders, and partners.
- Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and conferences.
- Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a nonprofit or similar organization.
- Strong skills in leadership, strategic planning, operations management, and business development.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
- Preferred grant writing and management experience.
- A commitment to the organization's mission and values.
- Bachelor’s degree, or related experience in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Museum Administration, or a related field.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
