What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 Anticipated Opening Math (Grades 7-8) position at Palmer Public Schools?
The Palmer School District is looking to add a math teacher (5-8, 8-12 certified) to our team who believes in a children first philosophy. We are committed to providing students with a positive learning environment focused on meeting the needs of all learners. The successful teammate will work as part of a Math Department team. We believe the ideal candidate will be an active learner in our school and strive to build a dynamic learning experiences for all our students.
Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Experience and practice working with students at the middle/high school level, including coaching teachers. Knowledge of the Dream Box and Open Up Resources math curricula with a background in student centered work. Ability to work as a positive role model for students and be an active participant in a team approach to learning.
Works well with community members, parents, and students. Excellent written, verbal, and mathematical abilities.All positions are subject to qualifications, duties and rates of compensation presently in force, and subject to appropriate funding.
