Shipping Container Repair Expert

Job Description:

Seeking a skilled Shipping Container Repair Technician to join our team. This position involves repairing and maintaining shipping containers to ensure they meet operational and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have some carpentry skills, experience with hand tools, and basic welding skills. This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs on shipping containers, including replacing damaged flooring, patching holes, and reinforcing structural components.
• Use skills to install and replace wooden flooring.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light welding equipment to complete necessary repairs.
• Inspect containers for damage and determine the best method of repair.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Basic experience in carpentry, metalworking, or container repair preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, grinders, impact wrenches).
• Basic welding skills (MIG or stick welding preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve repair issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
