The full-time nursing faculty position is dynamic and may be required to teach on ground, online, and/or via hybrid courses, simulation-based learning activities (SBE’s), clinical skills laboratory, and/or in direct clinical care experiences. The person in this position proceeds through the tenure track and non-tenure track promotion process as described in the EU Faculty Handbook. The standard teaching load for all full-time faculty is the equivalent of twenty-four (24) semester hours of credit in a twelve-month covenant. Certain exceptions to the standard load are required in some disciplines, especially in the case of simulation lab and clinical.

- Teach assigned pre-licensure nursing students, or graduate students as assigned
- Expected to teach, prepare course materials, be available to meet with students outside of regularly scheduled class time, and provide support and guidance to students.
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Associate Dean of Nursing with reports of student progress. Any specific student concerns must be communicated prior to the midterm/final evaluations.
- Creates student assignments for direct patient care, supervises students in the delivery of care, and evaluates student performance per policy Evaluates and provides written feedback to students on a daily, weekly, mid, and final evaluation of clinical progress in the clinical course.
- Abides by all clinical partnership policies regarding onboarding requirements to meet any regulatory or facility policy.
- Follows School of Nursing policies regarding the delivery, implementation, and evaluation of teaching per the Faculty & Staff Handbook.
- Follows all accreditation standards CCNE, SBN and Middle States.

- Possess substantial training and experience as a professional in the area of clinical specialty. MSN with a focus on nursing specialty. Clinical certification preferred. Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service orientation, computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and attention to detail are required.
- Self-evaluate teaching and administrative effectiveness regularly. Seek continuous professional improvement by means of study, continuing education, mentoring, practice and attendance at professional meetings and faculty development programs.
- Maintain and revise delegated curriculum courses for degree programs once a year and as needed.
- Participate actively in the scholarly community by contributing to the scholarship through involvement in individual and collaborative research and by sharing the results with colleagues and students through lectures, seminars, publication and the like.
Function Within the Educational Environment

- Provide academic and professional advising to students enrolled in the academic program(s) to which they have been appointed.
