Eastern University and its branch campus Esperanza College, a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution, have been awarded a three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) under the Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus Program.
This grant supports the establishment of a comprehensive, trauma-informed, culturally relevant program to prevent and respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking within our campus community.
Job Description
Project Director
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the OVW Campus Program grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, ensuring compliance with grant requirements (including all special conditions of the award), managing reports, assessments, budgets, and overseeing all grant-related activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of award documents and project deliverables and adhere to all relevant federal and state laws and confidentiality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Administration: Ensure compliance with grant requirements, manage reports and assessments, oversee grant-related activities.
- Training & Technical Assistance Participation: Participate in required training and technical assistance as required by the grant program.
- Program Coordination: Co-develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant program to prevent and respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking on both campuses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance institutional responses and achieve program goals.
- Training & Prevention Education: Coordinate prevention education programs developed with partners and contractors.
- Strategic Oversight: Work closely with key stakeholders to develop, facilitate, and maintain Coordinated Community Response Teams (CCRT) for each campus.
- Compliance & Reporting: Collect and organize institutional data for bi-annual performance reports, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure adherence to federal and state laws and grant conditions.
- Event Management: Coordinate and facilitate grant-related training, programming, and educational activities.
The position requires strong coordination, compliance oversight, and support for all grant-related initiatives to ensure the successful implementation of program activities and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, public health, criminal justice, or related field.
- Bilingual; proficient in English and Spanish.
- 1-3 years of related experience including working with multidisciplinary teams, grants, or subject matter related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
- Ability to travel between Philadelphia branch and St. David's main campuses on an ongoing basis.
The position is 3 years as contingent on grant funding.
