What are the responsibilities and job description for the ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLER position at Palmer Wahl Instruments, Inc.?
Palmer Wahl Instruments, Inc. manufactures mechanical and electronic temperature and pressure measurement equipment. We are seeking an experienced electronic technician with component level troubleshooting skills to assemble, test, calibrate and repair this equipment. Familiarity with typical electronic instrumentation such as Oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, frequency meters, etc. is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend assembly drawings, procedures, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Assemble electronic measurement devices per prints and procedures
- Test and calibrate product for proper operation including accuracy requirements and determine if in/out of tolerance.
- Record data as required in Excel spreadsheet.
- Troubleshoot defects
- Use various hand and power tools and electronic test equipment to build, test, and repair product
- Evaluate returned product for time, material and calibration estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on various technical tasks
- Work with New Product Development on fabrication and evaluation of prototypes
- Soldering skills strongly desired
- Good hand/eye coordination, corrected vision, and ability to discern colors
