Key responsibilities may include:
- Curriculum development:Creating and delivering comprehensive lesson plans covering plant identification, soil science, propagation techniques, pruning methods, landscape design principles, and sustainable gardening practices relevant to landscaping.
- Classroom instruction:Leading lectures, demonstrations, and discussions on plant biology, plant health, and landscape aesthetics.
- Practical laboratory work:Supervising students in hands-on activities like planting, transplanting, pruning, weed control, and managing outdoor garden beds.
- Greenhouse management:Overseeing the operation of a school greenhouse, including plant propagation, pest management, and environmental control.
- Student assessment:Evaluating student learning through quizzes, projects, practical exams, and observation of their gardening skills.
