Front End Loader Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery but specifically a front end loader. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects safely and effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

· Ensure safety first on the job.

· Must be able to communicate effectively over the radio with other employees.

· Be able to operate front end loader efficiently, productively, consistently and safely.

· Be able to do changeovers for both L1 & L3 feeder rooms.

· Be able to trouble shoot alarms on L3 feeder room Blendmaster.

· Be able to track/adjust conveyor belts.

· Must recognize and report any mistakes immediately.

· Ensure properly maintaining equipment by doing pre-shift inspections, greasing and housekeeping daily.

· Ensure L3 feeder room is cleaned up on a regular basis, which includes shovel work, greasing and housekeeping.

· Help in grinding room when needed and with clean-up.

· Keep any mud after rain events discarded.

· No standing water

· Bulk storage area: keep raw materials pushed up throughout the shift, keep floor level and clean, absolutely no contact with concrete columns and building structures.

· Shale stockpile work area kept level with a little slope for drainage.

· Misc. duties around the plant and Cheraw Brick building.

· Taking the initiative to help out in grinding room when needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

Teamwork, Reporting Skills, Documentation Skills, Data Entry Skills, Dependability. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening. Must know and adhere to all personnel and safety policies.

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to work in outdoor conditions. Must be able to climb stairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.57 - $19.91 per hour
