Overview
A successful candidate for this full-time position will assist the Branch Manager in overseeing and ensuring associates provide accurate, professional service to members with an emphasis toward solution oriented assistance. This Assistant Manager also assumes the duties and full responsibility of the Branch’s operation when the Manager is unavailable. The position requires maintaining an accurate knowledge of, and complying with, security procedures and internal controls. In addition to salary, opportunities to earn incentives are also available.
Responsibilities
- Develops and enhances abilities of associates to professionally and proactively help members in achieving their financial objectives.
- Coaches associates to recognize member’s needs and develop them to work with members to resolve potential problems while offering suggestions and possible solutions.
- Responsible for the accurate and efficient operations of assigned sales and lending associates. Assists Manager with all aspects of efficient day-to-day operations of the branch.
- Performs all duties within loan officer authority in extending quality loans to members, including: taking applications, assisting members with provident and productive loans tailored to their financial situation, counseling applicants on solutions for financial problems and approving/denying loans.
Qualifications
- Three years of management experience is required.
- Prior lending experience a plus.
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
