OVERVIEW:
Palmetto Engineering & Consulting, Inc, an employee owned, professionally licensed engineering and consulting firm, specializing in industrial electrical and telecommunications disciplines, is currently seeking to hire a Field GIS Specialist. QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a GIS related discipline or equivalent.
- Proficiency in the use of ESRI GIS software: ArcPro, Collector, ArcOnline, ArcGIS Desktop 10.x, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server and/or MS Excel preferred.
- Outside Plant Telecom work experience and/or knowledge preferred.
- Experience in field data collection.
- Knowledge of construction practices and techniques related to utility work preferred.
- Possesses a Can-Do attitude and enjoys a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to complete work according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Must be able to work independently, travel weekly to job site as needed, possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a substance abuse screening test.
HOURS:
Typically, Monday through Friday; 8-10 hour days
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
