Operation of cash register and calculator. Receives cash, credit and meal cards from customers in payment for meals received. Makes change, and issues receipts or tickets to customers. Monitors the signature sheets for cash and (Ration in Kind) patrons. Keeps reception/sign in area clean and free of safety hazards. Assist in the cleaning, sweeping, mopping and other duties of the Mess Hall as directed by the Dining Room Supervisor. Prepare and submit required NAVSUP 1291.
Requirements:
Experience with calculators and cash registers. Academic skills suitable for ensuring developed forms are properly formatted, grammatically correct, and free of spelling areas and collections are accurate.
Experienced in handling money and maintaining an efficient filing system. Excellent customer service skills. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the level required in the contract and upon receiving clearance eligibility must begin work within 30 days. Must attend a Food Safety and Sanitation class within 30 days.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently sitting/standing for long periods of time. The employee must be able to stoop, bend, push, and pull; lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
