What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance Worker position at Palmetto Hills Golf Club?
Job Duties:
Be able to follow instructions.
Operate heavy equipment responsibly and with care.
Experience using greens mowers, fairway units, etc. or at the least be trainable.
Operates golf course maintenance equipment to include mowers (riders), trimmers, edgers, weed eaters, blowers, etc.
Changes tee markers, cuts cups, repair ball marks on greens, and repair tee and fairway divots.
Rake and edge bunkers, top dress greens and tees, edge cart paths, remove weeds, and gather debris from golf course.
Participate in course renovations such as sod laying or removal, grass sprigging, trench excavating, tree and brush removal, operating hand tools.
Helps clean course bathrooms, empty trash, and refill water coolers.
Performs golf course maintenance duties as assigned by management.
Haul or spread topsoil using wheelbarrow and rake.
Assist with the installation of irrigation systems..
Operate small-motorized equipment such as weed eaters with supervision in a manner that always adheres to O.S.H.A. guidelines.
Take proper care of equipment and materials according to company standards.
Follow rules, procedures, and regulations.
Follow directions given by Superintendent and management
Communicate, cooperate, and work with co-workers and supervisors.
Have a valid Driver's License, enjoy working outside for extended periods of time.
Your day to day task may change and not always be the same. The importance to adapt is crucial.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
