About the Role:
The Clinical Intake Coordinator manages the timely processing of new referrals, provides clinical support and education to patients and staff, and
ensures compliance with insurance and FDA guidelines. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, coordinating with internal
teams and providers, and continuously improving processes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience/Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or certified medical assistant program.
- 2 years of clinical experience.
- Active LPN or RN license in the state(s) of practice or Certified Medical Assistant.
- Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
- Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
- Provides timely acceptance and completion of new referrals.
- Acts as a clinical resource for the intake team, educating patient on drug specific information, and providing clinical support to patients as needed.
- Reviews insurance medical policy requirements and FDA guidelines and provide guidance to non-clinical staff.
- Obtains all needed information from MD office for insurance authorizations and clinical purposes.
- Coordinates with the team to follow up on insurance denial, peer-to-peer reviews, and appeals.
- Contacts patients to complete Welcome Call assessment and review the intake process.
- Answers calls from queue and assist callers in a timely and polite manner.
- Demonstrates support and willingness to coordinate with sales team to maintain professional relationships with our referring providers and their patients.
- Gives high priority to client satisfaction and anticipates customer needs.
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service by ensuring work meets quality standards; sets high goals or standards of performance for self, takes pride in his/her work and completes work on schedule.
- Demonstrates adaptability to an increasingly complex and changing environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Maintains industry knowledge pertaining to medications, insurance medical policies, and general insurance data base.
- Takes initiative to present ideas and suggestions for process improvements to the supervisors, and management.
