Job Functions:
- Gain the patient’s confidence by obtaining pertinent history, describing the procedure, and answering any questions.
- Monitor the patient’s physical condition during the course of the procedure.
- Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage and radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed, using computer, and following physicians’ prescription.
- Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
- Evaluate images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
- Provide images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation.
- Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment and camera.
- Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures
- Other duties deemed necessary by management as assigned.
