Position Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors; ask nature of their visit
- Build professional relationship with patients and other visitors
- Contact the person visitor is to see
- Answer and properly route calls
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Provide appropriate information to callers/visitors expeditiously; in a professional, but friendly manner
- Prioritize calls and escalate callers’ issues to proper chain of command
- Notify management of any/all maintenance failures or issues that arise in the building and on the premises in a timely manner
- Take initiative to ensure the company phone and speed dial lists are current
- Train back-up coverage, providing guidance on policies and procedures
- Notify employees of inbound deliveries or guide the delivery to the appropriate department
- Provide light administrative support to corporate staff as directed
- Maintain reception area in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ensure kitchen areas are stocked and set up for meetings and cleaned after meetings
- Take Direction and initiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient/visitor care
- Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary. Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of the System (education, organizing, housekeeping, and assisting others). Organize job functions and work area to be able to effectively complete varied assignments within established time frames
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
