Responsibilities:
- Conduct proper pre-trip inspections on trucks, including checking all fluid levels, lights, tires, and safety equipment
- Identifying the root cause of malfunctions or problems with equipment or systems
- Performing repairs, maintenance tasks, and replacement of parts or components.
- Setting up and installing new equipment or systems.
- Maintain the delivery truck which includes reviewing the maintenance record, performing inspections and reporting all vehicle conditions requiring attention for continued safe operation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and dispatchers
- Maintain communication with dispatchers to receive updates on schedules and possible concerns or issues.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment and equipment while adhering to OSHA, State and Federal safety regulations.
- Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all DOT state and federal requirements and regulations regarding hazardous materials and transportation
Requirements:
- Clean driving record with a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Ability to lift to 50lbs repeatedly
- Physical ability to perform tasks repetitively
- Have a Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Exceptional customer service skills
Working conditions:
- Must be able to work as needed indoors and outdoors at various times.
- Consistent communication with all departments, coworkers and management
- Must be able to utilize systems technology effectively and consistently.
