As a Publishing Associate, you will play a crucial role in engaging with prospective authors to thoroughly understand their publishing needs and facilitate their publishing journey with Palmetto Publishing. The goal of the Publishing Associate is to qualify incoming authors to ensure they are the right fit for our services. Qualified authors will be connected directly with a Publishing Consultant to progress the Opportunity.
The Publishing Associate is typically the first person an author may speak with so it’s crucial to be positive and consultative in this position. This position demands a highly motivated, results-oriented professional with strong organizational skills. You will be responsible for qualifying and converting incoming leads from our website and phone inquiries into successful author experiences by connecting the prospect with a Publishing Consultant.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Present and communicate the value proposition of Palmetto Publishing to prospective authors, guiding them through the process of joining our community of published authors.
- Understand the author’s specific needs and goals, verify that Palmetto can meet those needs, and connect the prospect with a Publishing Consultant to close the business.
- Develop and nurture relationships with potential authors, deeply understanding their needs.
- Efficiently qualify and respond to incoming leads via email and phone, maintaining a high level of engagement and responsiveness.
- Answer all inbound calls through the Palmetto Publishing Contact Us line.
- High frequency of daily activities from emails, texts, and phone calls.
- Respond to all Contact Forms (TBCs) within 24 hours of submission (preferably same-day).
- Conduct persistent follow-ups with leads and prospects to drive conversions.
- Monitor and re-engage prospects that initially showed interest but became unresponsive.
