What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at Palmetto State Armory?
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting customers in completing In Store Pick Up (ISPU) transactions, Class III transactions & actively maintain inventory control at the retail level. Provide the highest level of customer service to maintain a positive buying experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with their transactions as the primary point of contact for ISPU 4473 transfers.
- Accurately complete Class III paperwork in accordance with ATF standards.
- If time allows, Assist Firearms Manager and / or Receiving Specialist as you are able.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Greet customers in a friendly and timely matter as they approach your work area.
- Resolve customer issues to the best of your ability.
- Maintain the store in all of which will include sweeping, dusting, restocking, fronting, etc.
- Must be able to complete Federal Firearms Transfer Records (4473), Class III and other related documents with 100% accuracy.
- Compete cycle counts on a daily basis in order to maintain the utmost accuracy for the store's inventory.
- Maintain a high working knowledge of product offerings in order to best advise customers in their purchasing decision.
- Remain impartial when making a sale, do not let personal bias negatively influence the outcome of the transaction.
- Efficiently close sales in order to meet overall store sales goals.
- A commitment to following directions is required.
- All other duties, as assigned, should be at the end of each list.

This position may require regular evening and weekend work & may include holidays as well.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time : Reading, writing, and speaking on all necessary forums, hearing, standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lb, climbing, stooping and sitting.
