Vet Tech Assistant

We are looking for a caring and compassionate person, who has the ability to stoop, bend, lift, and or stand for extended periods of time - and a great love for animals of course!

Veterinary Technician/Assistant Duties

- Client communication- record data on case history, provide basic education on animal care, nutrition, and medical conditions.

- Preparing and labeling medications and prescriptions.

- Blood, fecal, and urine collection

- Lab work- including but not limited to; fecal tests, urinalysis, in house blood-work, cytology preparation and reading.

- Radiography

- Restrain and stabilize animals during exam and treatment.

- Administer medications, vaccinations, and perform routine procedures.

- Instruct clients how to administer medications and apply care at home

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 27 per week
