Department Description

Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy and HVAC industries. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency through advanced heating and cooling technologies. We empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system. Location

This position will be based in our Charleston, SC office.

Summary of Role 

The Asset Optimization Pipeline Specialist role is critical to Palmetto Finance accomplishing its mission. This role is the primary operational expert that works the incomplete LightReach (stranded assets) cohorts through to PTO, through manual submissions as well as a vendor network.  In addition, this role will help drive the SFR/BTR pipelines from NTP to System Activation. As pipeline blockers emerge, you will identify and work with internal stakeholders as well as vendors to resolve and progress the customer to PTO. The role will need to harness expertise across engineering, utility, permitting, install and inspection to accomplish the objectives. When required, the Asset Optimization Pipeline Specialist will need to communicate directly with escalated customers and help re-establish confidence in their solar project. In addition to these project management responsibilities this role is expected to flex and support milestone quality reviews on an as needed basis.

Strategic & Tactical

• Oversee Stranded Asset & BTR/SFR pipelines and ensure quality and timely execution 
• Maintain working knowledge of local requirements
• Navigate imperfect systems and work across internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and resolve project blockers that will result in PTO status
• Evaluate blocker root causes and help drive process improvements
• AHJ research and/or registration
• Onboard and manage internal teammates as well as 3rd party vendors (Permitting, ICA, PTO, etc.)
• Submit necessary paperwork for projects (Permitting, ICA, PTO, etc.)
• Maintaining data fidelity within our CRM
• Communicate and coordinate any change orders
• Resolve (directly or indirectly) escalated customer issues

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a solar operations or similar role 
• BS/BA Preferred
• PMP or PMI certifications preferred
• Experience with interdepartmental problem solving and proven ability to identify issues and implement solutions to drive projects towards timely completion
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence 3rd parties and internal stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Excellent analytical skills
