Core Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitization of all public areas within the property.
- Carefully and safely operate all cleaning equipment.
- Ensures all informational signs, light fixtures, picture frames, TV Monitors, and various high décor to be free of dust.
- Heavy cleaning such as, shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors, polishing marbles, pressure washing, emptying trashcans, performing bio hazard clean-up, etc.
- Notifies management of supplies needed or equipment requiring maintenance.
- Follows the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects and materials. Follows the required procedures for the cleanup of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and exposure control plan.
- Guarantees all chemicals in assigned areas have proper labels according to the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and ensures all cleaning materials/equipment are utilized per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Perform other job duties as requested.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of (1) year of related experience required and six (6) months of experience within a hotel/gaming property is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain appropriate licensing, work permits, and other work authorization cards based on the job they perform.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Physical Demands
- Work is performed throughout the property, indoors and outdoors.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
- Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
- Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Eye/hand coordination.
- Use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
