What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Palms Casino Resort?
Core Job Responsibilities
You are focused on maintaining product movement in and out of the distribution center by preforming various duties.
You will operate material handling equipment safely, including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
You will replenish products in the Distribution Center.
You will count and check products for accuracy and quality. You will maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages to Supervisor. You will participate in "Cycle Counts", as required.
You will maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work environment.
You must follow, demonstrate, and understand all Environmental Health & Safety (OHS) requirements.
You will maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
You must have good written and oral English language communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time (except for break and lunch periods), climb, perform repetitive motions, and work in a dusty, loud and hot environment.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
6 mos. – 1 year experience
Physical Demands
Work is performed in a casino / hotel setting.
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
May be exposed to smoke
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Eye/hand coordination.
Use of standard office equipment.
Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
