Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the leadership, direction, and coordination of the accounting budgeting, financial planning (long and short term) and other financial operations in support of the Organization’s strategic goals, as well as for human resources, marketing, facilities, information technology and other administrative operations. The CFO will report directly to the CEO.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
1) Responsible for managing the general accounting and finance functions for Palms Medical Group.
2) Oversees all fiscal operations including accounts receivable and payable, payroll, fee schedules, billing and collections, purchasing and inventory control.
3) Develops and initiates systems, policies, and procedures for transacting financial matters.
4) Maintain the general ledger.
5) Manage accounts payable and disbursements.
6) Manage accounts receivable and collections.
7) Ensures proper receipt, deposit and disbursement of all company funds.
8) Responsible for proper cash flow.
9) Maintain cost center accounting.
10) Reconcile all account balances monthly. Tracks health center performance as related to financial matters and reports this information to the Governing Board monthly.
11) Develop annual budget.
12) Maintain internal control system for cash and assets.
13) Arrange for and support annual financial audit.
14) Develop or direct the development of reports as needed.
15) Complete all Contract reviews, Capital Plans and Budget approvals.
16) Participate in QA/QI activities as necessary.
17) Attend Leadership Evaluation Manager (L.E.M.) meetings and hold team accountable to meet quality measures.
18) Manage the performance of all supervised VP’s and complete timely rounding
19) Responsible for overseeing Financial Service Department, including distribution of financial statements and ensuring appropriate reimbursement
20) Assist the CEO with materials for board meetings.
21) Provide direction, training, supervision, and evaluation for direct reports as needed.
22) Ensures that the financial system is accurate, efficient and in accordance with professional accounting practices and governmental regulations.
23) Provide financial management of grants.
24) Serve as member of the senior management team.
25) Shall perform all other duties as requested by the CEO
