Position Overview:
The Office Associate serves as the welcoming face of the congregation, providing administrative support and ensuring effective communication within the church. This role combines clerical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to assist in maintaining smooth operations of the church office. The Office Associate works under the direct supervision of the Executive Assistant and is ultimately accountable to the Lead Pastor.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Office Management
· Greet visitors and members warmly, providing assistance or direction as needed.
· Manage incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate person or team.
Clerical Support
· Perform general office tasks, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
· Manage accounts payable requisitions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Maintain and update church databases, ensuring records are current and secure.
· Assist with distribution of church promotional materials, including bulletins, newsletters, and event flyers.
· Coordinate rental logistics, including scheduling, contracts, and communication.
· Assist with communication regarding facility maintenance and repair logistics.
Communications and Technology
· Support the Executive Assistant with digital communications, including social media posts and e-newsletters.
· Assist in website updates, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
· Collaborate on graphic design projects for worship, events, and ministry programs (as skills allow).
Team Collaboration
· Provide clerical assistance to the Executive Assistant, pastors, staff, and ministry leaders as requested.
· Contribute to a positive and efficient office environment by collaborating with staff, congregants, and volunteers.

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma (or equivalent) with additional training in office administration and communication required.
· Experience in an office environment, preferably within a church or non-profit setting.
Work Schedule:
This position is part-time, 16 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Work is performed exclusively in an office setting.
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications, between $15 to $20 per hour.
