Our established and growing ophthalmology practice needs a bright and energetic individual with excellent customer service skills to fill a permanent full-time position. Must be able to commute to practice sites in Palo Alto and San Jose.

  • Previous experience in a medical office a plus but not necessary
  • Will train the right person

Duties :

  • Greet patients warmly
  • Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
  • Oversee insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Respond to records requests
  • Schedule surgery and ensure preoperative paperwork is in order
  • Room patients, chart chief complaints
  • Ophthalmic testing (will train)
  • Required traits :

  • Strong communication / English language skills
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Computer proficiency
