At Palo Duro Nursing we’re all about creating a caring, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. We’re looking for a friendly and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our residents. If you're passionate about helping others and want to work with a team that feels like family, we'd love to have you on board!
What You’ll Do:
- Provide Compassionate Care: Assist residents with their daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility. You’ll be there to help them feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way.
- Support Nursing Staff: Work alongside our nursing team to ensure residents’ needs are met. You’ll help with tasks like taking vital signs, reporting changes in residents' health, and keeping everything well-documented.
- Create Positive Experiences: Help residents feel at home by offering a listening ear, engaging in friendly conversation, and promoting an overall sense of well-being and comfort.
- Assist with Mobility: Help residents get in and out of bed, walk, or change positions to keep them safe and comfortable.
- Help with Basic Health Monitoring: Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.), and report any changes in a resident’s condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Comfort: Assist with housekeeping tasks, like tidying up residents' rooms, ensuring they have fresh bedding, and helping with hygiene tasks when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Certification & License: Must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Texas.
- Experience: While previous experience in a long-term care setting is helpful, it’s not required. What matters most is your passion for helping others and making a difference in people’s lives!
- Skills & Qualities:
- A caring heart and a desire to help others.
- Strong communication skills, both with residents and with the team.
- A team player who works well with others to provide the best care possible.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must Follow State of Texas Regulations: As a CNA in Texas, you will be expected to follow all regulations set by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), including providing care in a manner that meets the standards for safety, dignity, and respect.
What’s In It for You:
- A warm, friendly work environment where you’ll feel like part of a team that cares about you and your growth.
- Competitive pay and benefits, plus opportunities for career advancement.
- Flexible scheduling, including full-time and part-time options.
- The chance to make a real difference in the lives of residents and their families every day.
Why Choose Us: At PDN, we’re not just a team—we’re a family. We believe that every CNA is a vital part of making our residents’ lives better, and we’re here to support you as you grow in your career. Join us and help create a warm, caring environment where residents feel like they’re at home.
