Palo Pinto General Hospital seeks a qualified Nurse Leader to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency and/or critical care nursing, with experience in managing supplies and equipment and supervising personnel on the unit. Strong communication skills are essential for promoting team efforts with physicians and personnel of other departments.
We require a graduate of a professional nursing school, with a bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. A minimum of two years' experience in emergency and/or critical care nursing is also required. The ability to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills, is essential for success in this role.
- A valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Texas is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months of employment, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six months of employment are required certifications.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are strongly recommended but not required.
