We are seeking a qualified Language Instructor to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in the language being taught or a related field. Experience teaching at the community college level is preferred, but not required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching classes within the approved discipline, maintaining and updating curriculum relevant to the assigned instructional area, and utilizing approved textbooks and course materials. Additionally, they will enforce the rules and regulations of the college, maintain accurate grade and census records, and give final exams according to the official schedule.
The selected individual will also be expected to work collegially with full-time faculty and staff, keep current in their academic field, and perform other related duties as assigned. They must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
