The House Supervisor possesses the experience, knowledge, ability, and willingness to act as a clinical resource person as well as providing operations, coordination, and professional leadership. Provides, delegates, and coordinates nursing care provided throughout the hospital. Ensures safe, respectful, and efficient care in all areas of the hospital. The House Supervisor must demonstrate leadership in the clinical area and be willing and able to hold staff accountable for quality, customer relations, risk reduction, and process improvement initiatives. House Supervisor acts as the Unit Manager in the absence of Manager. Organizes patient flow, anticipates ongoing needs, and remains prepared to accept and coordinate care of all patients who present to the units assigned. Has a clear understanding of payroll and budgeting related to productivity management, skill mix, and scope of practice. Must demonstrate strong clinical skills necessary to support the staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in the care of patients of all ages and classifications.
- Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Current CPR Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current PALS Certification
- Current ESI Class Certification
- NIHSS Stroke Certification
- Minimum of five (5) years' clinical experience in the Emergency Department
- NRP Certification, preferred
- BSN in Nursing, preferred
- Minimum of one year leadership and management experience in a healthcare related field, preferred.
