Position Overview: As a Radiation Oncology Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. You will collaborate closely with our Clinical Administrator and Office Administrator to meet patient needs, uphold policies and procedures, and uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the training of newly hired medical assistant staff members to ensure effective patient care.
- Delegate responsibilities within the nursing team and ensure balanced workloads.
- Manage patient schedules for physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Assist with prior authorizations for medications and complete disability paperwork as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and ensure adherence in daily responsibilities.
- Prepare examination rooms for procedures and assist providers with clinical care.
- Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
- Documents all nursing interventions performed using the EMR including date, time, meds, dosage, site, adverse reactions, type of administration, etc.
- Triage patients calls with professionalism and courtesy understanding that some patients require more time than others. Resolve patient issues and concerns as effectively as possible. Able to assess, plan and document patient issues. Counsel, educate and perform patient teaching.
- Conduct review of systems and medication checks with patients prior to appointments.
- Scribe office visits.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN Program.
- Current Arizona RN Licensure required-in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
