DESCRIPTION
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector ensures that all equipment, including frac stacks, API-6A gate valves, zipper manifolds, flowback equipment, and frac missiles, meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting and testing products at various stages of production to ensure they meet established quality standards, company specifications and legal regulations, by monitoring repair & manufacturing processes, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain product consistency and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to use specialized equipment.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- 2 years valve repair and/or field service experience.
- Comprehensive leadership, coordinating, planning, and safety skills required.
- Effective verbal, written, reading, and communication skills are required.
- Must be ambitious, driven, and self-motivated.
- Familiarity with quality control tools & techniques, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect materials and components:
Verify materials meet specifications outlined by purchase/work orders &/or engineering drawings.
- Visual & dimensional inspection of all applicable equipment & components.
- Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare inspections reports and feedback to the purchasing department to relay back to suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and provide regular feedback to the purchasing department.
Verify personnel paperwork are properly filled out. (i.e. Shop Routers)
- Final Product Inspection:
Ensure to check compliance with product specifications, customer requirements, and internal standards.
Perform functional, aesthetic, and safety tests to ensure products meet quality and performance expectations.
Verify product is properly painted per company standards, customer requirements, and all seal surfaces that are exposed are coated with Dry-moly or equivalent.
Verify packaging is in good condition and products are protected/secured for shipping.
If the equipment is non-conforming, get with appropriate personnel to get the issue resolved prior to shipping.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for reoccurring issues.
- Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are certified and well maintained.
- Ensure good housekeeping is being utilized.
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Follow specific written instructions and API procedures for all jobs presented.
- Other duties as assigned.
