Take advantage of this unique opportunity to train under our experienced Accounting and Food & Beverage staff while stationed in the bustling and beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin’s premier resort town. This internship will help prepare you for a career as an F&B Controller or F&B Director in the hospitality industry.
On the Accounting and Shipping & Receiving front, you will have the opportunity to:
Prepare and review daily reconciliation reports against daily control totals from inventory sheets. Ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Complete daily and turns in inventory sheets.
Complete inventory order accurately using forecasts and projections based on current business. Also, complete end-of-the-month inventory procedures.
Track inventory and apply First In-First Out product rotation.
On the F&B front, you will gain valued managerial experience with the opportunity to:
Motivate receiving clerks and beverage cart associates via leadership, team work, and enthusiasm.
Run shifts effectively to ensure quality products, guest service, service times and food outlet cleanliness meet System standards.
Perform daily morning, afternoon and evening snack bar and beverage cart tours.
Ensure proper product quality control and presentation.
Ensure team is following System standards for uniforms and appearance.
Ensure accurate completion of the Quality Control/Safe Food Checklist.
Ensure proper follow-up of visitation and full field reports, including but not limited to cleanliness, hospitality, and ground appearance.
Evaluate team performance through timely performance reviews and ensures team is cross-trained effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a four-year college program
Emphasis of study preferred to be focused on Accounting, Business or restaurant management
Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
Capable of a minimum 10-week commitment
