JOB SUMMARYAs a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory records. Your role is critical in supporting various departments by verifying deliveries and ensuring timely distribution of goods. You will also monitor beverage cart inventories and complete necessary inventory sheets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Check-in deliveries and verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
Ensure proper handling and storage of goods, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the dock.
Distribute incoming shipments to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
Coordinate and prepare shipments leaving the property, ensuring accurate documentation and proper packaging.
Monitor beverage cart in/out inventories, replenishing stock as needed and completing daily inventory sheets.
Track inventory and apply First In-First Out product rotation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, shipping companies, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Assist with inventory management, including regular stock counts and reporting any variances.
Prepare and review daily reconciliation reports against daily control totals from inventory sheets. Ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures at the dock.
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a receiving, shipping, or inventory control role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to [insert weight] pounds.
