Primary Function:
Responsible for the leadership, administration, planning, and development of the District’s Nursing Education Department and its Registered Nurse (RN) educational program; ensures the quality of the program and its compliance with relevant laws, regulations and external accreditation standards; supervises assigned employees. 
Salary: $12,688.45/month [step 1] – $16,242.43/month [step 10]
• Starting salary placement within the established salary schedule is negotiable dependent upon education and experience. In addition, administrators who possess earned doctorates from accredited institutions are awarded an annual stipend of $1,842.81.

The estimated maximum value of this employer-paid benefits? package is approximately $31,245.84 annually. 
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of all of the following qualifications listed in 1) through 4) below pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 16, § 1425(a): Experience and Education: • A Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration;• One (1) year experience as an administrator with validated performance of administrative responsibilities consistent with section 1420(h);
• Administrative position is defined as a director or assistant director whose responsibility and accountability includes coordinating, directing, fiscal planning, and all activities involved in developing, implementing and managing the nursing program.• Administrative responsibility:
• in a registered nursing education program, which includes diploma, associate, baccalaureate and post-licensure RN programs; or• the registered nurse administrator of a hospital professional nursing education services program.
• An academic year of two (2) semesters or three (3) quarters will be regarded as equivalent to one year’s administrative experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure registered nursing programs; and• One (1) year’s continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience direct patient care as a registered nurse or clinical instructor; OR equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the BRN .Note: For work experience, a “year” is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months. Only coursework completed at, and degrees awarded by, accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education will be considered as satisfying the minimum qualifications. Coursework and degrees that are completed outside of the United States are required to have transcripts evaluated (evaluation to U.S. equivalency and a course by course analysis) by an appropriate U.S. credentials evaluation service.
