Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting in property leasing, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks with a strong emphasis on reducing delinquency to ensure the smooth running of the property.
Duties
- Assist in managing property leasing processes, including marketing available units and conducting property tours.
- Reduce the property's overall delinquency to less than 3% and enforce timely rent collections.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and property maintenance requests using Yardi or similar property management software.
- Complete all residential lease renewals and work through the entire process.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to address tenant concerns and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette while handling inquiries from prospective tenants and current residents.
- Support the implementation of legal administrative tasks related to tenant relations and compliance with housing regulations.
- Engage in upselling strategies to promote additional services or upgrades to tenants.
- Assist with affordable housing applications, renewals, and compliance requirements as needed.
- Collaborate with the property management team to ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience as assistant property manager in property management, which a strong emphasis on delinquency and leasing is required.
- Knowledge of property leasing processes and legal requirements related to tenancy.
- Familiarity with Appfolio or similar property management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service best practices.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and conflict resolution.
