Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of facilities and equipment through effective maintenance practices. This role requires a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The Maintenance Technician will work on a variety of tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and general repairs, while also supervising maintenance staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff and contractors.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues that require attention.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to complete repairs or improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain property aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency in electrical systems and logic controllers is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Previous experience in supervising maintenance staff is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience in residential painting is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
