Description
The Mammography Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Lead Mammography Technologist, performs screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures to provide the Radiologists with diagnostic images/information.
- To conduct mammography and breast ultrasounds.
This position is part time, 56 hours per pay period, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some evening hours until 7:00 p.m. with weekends as needed. No holidays.
This position will assist with staffing needs at both sites: Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Orland Park Palos Imaging.
Qualifications
Required
- IDNS licensed and ARRT registered in radiography.
- Current AHA BLS Provider Certification
- Clinical and technical competency in mammography to meet MQSA requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- ARRT registered in radiography mammography within 12 months of hire date.
- Hospital Based - Two Year Training Technology or Associate's Degree Program in Radiology Technology.
- Mammography 40 hours of advance training in an MQSA approved program- 250 supervised exams in Mammography.
