About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Palos West Elementary School. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Develop and teach lessons that promote academic, social, and emotional growth in students with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports for students, as required by law and district policies.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an appropriate Early Childhood Education Self-Contained General Education Endorsement.
• An LBS I Endorsement on your Illinois Professional Educator License.
• An ESL Endorsement.
